Maker space: Biomedical Engineering Week
Have you ever had a plan to build the next big thing? Students have the opportunity to build, create and explore in the Maker space at CMS. Each week features a specialty topic with smaller activities that relate. Biomedical Engineering encompasses a variety of different topics. The broken bones activity will give students a chance to build a cast/ splint device.
The nano-particles activity will challenge students to create a way to keep their particles from sticking to the inside of a blood vessel.
The Alginate polymers activity will give students a better understanding of how pill coatings affect how medicines are absorbed by the body.
